Directions – Basic
1. Bring 8-10 oz. of water to the boil and add 1 tsp of chai tea, brew for 4-5 minutes.
Strain the tea.
optional:
1. Add sweetener as needed
2. You can also heat up milk of your choice ( dairy, non dairy or nut milk) and add to
the tea. Ratio of milk should be ¼ cup to 1 cup of tea.
4. If preferred cold, cool down the tea and add ice cubes.
You can also make a “chai concentrate” which can be stored in your refrigerator.
1. Boil 2 cups of water, add 1 Tablespoon of chai spice blend and simmer for 30 minutes
2. Allow to infuse off the heat 8 minutes
3. Strain, then add 2 ½ tbs of honey if needed while the concentrate is still warm. Do not add milk.
4. Use immediately or refrigerate for later use
You can drink chai tea hot or cold!
For iced chai, start with a concentrate and add your milk of choice. Ratio for tea concentrate to
milk is 1:2. Mix well and serve over ice!
For hot chai, Heat both the concentrate and your milk of choice. Ratio for tea concentrate to
milk is 1:2.
